Famous Photographers

Leonard Freed
(1929-2006)
Freed was born in a Jewish home. He originally wanted to be a painter, but as he grew older, he discovered a new passion of his while he was out in the Netherlands. He explored all throughout Europe and Africa - taking many photos as he went.

Eve Arnold
(1912-2012)
Arnold seems to have lived through everything! She was born in a busy home of 9 children in Pennsylvania. Her interest in photography was born while she was in New York in 1946. She had a variety of taste in photos, however she mostly enjoyed photographing the sad and depressed.

Bruno Barbey
(1941-      )
Barbey's interest was photographing wars, and the aftermath of them (though he denies being named "the war photographer"). He loved photography, but also studied graphic design in his early life.

Linda Connor
(1944-      )
Connor is a individual who saw the meaning and meaning behind photgraphing exotic landscapes in exotic places. She has won many art awards in her life (such as the National Endowment of the Arts award). She is currently a photography professor at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Édouard-Denis Baldus
(1813-1889)
He was a hard working painter and a lithographer before becoming a photographer. His passion in photography lead him to seeing the beauty behind exotic and historical buildings of Paris. He was well-known for his excellent arts in France. (Since I'm currently reading Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I find his photography and this particular photo extremely eye-catching).
